DOHA (Qatar): Brazil’s Palmeiras club is on its way to agree to the offer submitted by Qatar Stars League side Duhail SC for Eduardo ‘Dudu’ Pereira, but the player has landed in an off-field controversy after his ex-wife Mallu Ohana allegedly accused him of physical abuse.
Dudu is contracted with the Brazilian side until 2023.
The proposal of 13 million euros from Duhail has not yet officially arrived at Palmeiras, who are seeking to 15 million for the player.
Dudu’s ex-wife Mallu Ohana has allegedly accused him of the brutal aggression, according to the Brazilian media reports but the player and his lawyers have denied the accusation.
The case allegedly occurred around 6 pm last Monday (June 22) and was registered in a police report at the 4th sectional police station in the North, in Casa Verde, a neighborhood in the north of Sao Paulo.
Liliane Fonseca, lawyer for Ohana, this weekend released unedited images of the security camera of the condominium where the couple had lived. The video showed that the player actually attacked Ohana.
In another video clip, Ohana and Dudu fights inside the car. From the images, it is possible to notice that the athlete actually attacked her, a scene that had not been shown in Dudu’s version.
Ohana’s lawyer informs that the new images will be sent to the judiciary by the player’s ex-wife.
“You can clearly see that while they are in the car, he [Dudu] pushes her [Mallu]. He attacks her a lot inside the car, and the security guards outside do nothing,” said Liliane.
Liliane said her client sought emergency at Albert Einstein Hospital.
The medical report said, “Patient seen at this service due to aggression at around 6 pm on 6/22/20. He refers to punches and kicks with TBI (intracranial injury) and trauma to the body. As a patient with headache (headache), I opted for CT (computed tomography) of the skull without acute changes ”.
