DOHA: Morocco defeated Jordan 3-2 in the final of FIFA Arab Cup at the Lusail Stadium on a rain-soaked Lusail Stadium on Thursday night to win their second title after 2012 edition.
Abderrazak Hamdallah scored the winning goal in the 100th minute after the match ended 2-2 in the 90 minutes regulation time.
Ousamma Tannane scored with a powerful and stunning shot to give Morocco the lead in the 4th minute, but Jordan hit back with two goals, scored by tournament’s top scorer Ali Olwan, who headed home a crucial equaliser in the 48th minute.
In the 68th minute, Olwan calmly converted from the penalty spot for Jordan’s second goal. But Morocco snatched a dramatic 2–2 equaliser in the 87th minute thanks to a clinical finish by Hamdallah.
