DUBAI: Pakistan U19 produced a dominant all-round display to crush India U19 by 191 runs in the U19 Asia Cup 2025 final in Dubai, sealing their second title and first since 2012. The triumph was built on a breathtaking innings from opener Sameer Minhas, whose scintillating 172 off just 113 balls powered Pakistan to a mammoth 347/8 in 50 overs.
Minhas reached his century in only 71 balls and went on to register the highest individual score ever in an U19 Asia Cup final, leaving the Indian attack without answers. His knock laid the foundation for a total that proved far beyond India’s reach.
In reply, Ayush Mhatre’s India, unbeaten throughout the tournament, suffered a dramatic collapse. Reduced to five wickets down inside the first 10 overs, India never recovered and were eventually bowled out for 156. Pakistan’s bowlers maintained relentless pressure to script the second-largest victory by runs in an U19 Asia Cup final.
The emphatic win denied India a record-extending ninth title and marked a memorable return to the summit for Pakistan U19, crowned champions after a commanding performance on the biggest stage.
