DOHA: The fifth and penultimate round of the Qatar Desert Racing Championship for the 2025 season concluded on Friday evening, showcasing high-octane competition and strong international participation in the Sealine area. Organized by the Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF), the two-day, motorcycle-only event drew 28 riders from 10 countries, creating an exciting and competitive atmosphere.
In Class 1, British rider Alex Mackins delivered a commanding performance to secure the title, completing the 19-lap race in 1 hour, 11 minutes, and 47 seconds. UAE rider Abdullah Langawi followed in second place with a time of 1:13:03, while compatriot Mohammed Al Balooshi claimed third in 1:13:30.
The Class 2 competition proved equally intense. Emirati rider Abdulaziz Ahli emerged victorious, clocking 1:16:46 to edge past countryman Mansour Al Suwaidi, who finished just six seconds behind at 1:16:52. Another UAE competitor, Khalifa Al Bastaki, completed the podium with a time of 1:16:40, despite finishing one lap fewer.
With only one round remaining, anticipation continues to build as riders prepare for the final showdown of the 2025 championship.
