Longines Hathab Tour: Maryam, Asmaa top dressage competitions

DOHA (Qatar): A consistent display over the last six rounds of the 2020-2021 season helped Maryam Ahmed Al Semaitt and Asmaa Yasser Mohammed to clinch the overall tittles in dressage events of Longines Qatar Equestrian Hathab Tour Supported by The Social and Sport Contribution Fund (Daam).

The event is organized and conducted jointly by the Qatar Equestrian Federation and Al Shaqab of Qatar Foundation.

In the Level 1 Medium Championship, after taking part in six rounds, Maryam Al Semaitt collected 165 points to clinch the top position followed by Maryam Ahmad Al Boinin (146 points) and Jassim Al Jaham Al Kuwari finished in third place with 136 points.

Maryam had finished second in the 11th and final round at Al Shaqab’s Longines Indoor Arena but maintained her position atop the leaderboard.

The Longines Hathab, which is into its fourth season and is held over 12 rounds and will come to a close with a grand finale on March 27.

Last Saturday, the dressage and Future Riders competitions concluded with the 11th round of the Tour while the 12th round, to be held on March 26 and 27, is dedicated exclusively to show jumping.

In the Level 2 Preliminary Championship, Asma Yasser collected 174 points took the first place, Jassim Mohammed Al Fahd Al Kuwari came in second place with 144 points, and Ghanem Nasser Al Qadi came in third place with 139 points, after the end of the six rounds.

In the Future Riders Level 2 for Under-14 and Beginners, Kian Monti finished with 164 points from 6 rounds, while Fahad Abdul Karim Abed came second with 150 points and Majed Abdul Rahman Al Awadh finished with 122 points.

In the Level 1 for Under-14 Future Riders, Hadi Mansour Al Shahwani finished with 154 points after the end of six rounds while Barzan Azzam Saleh came second and Jassim Adel Al Saegh came in third place.

The Grand Finale of the season taking place from March 26 and 27 will see riders competing in the last and 12th round of the championship.
The riders will be competing in the showjumping competitions of the Small, Medium, and Big Tour.
Besides the overall winners of various categories the winners of each round will be awarded during the prize distribution function.
Besides Daam), the fourth season of Longines Hathab championship is also supported by ExxonMobil and Global Peace.
