The decisive moment came in the 55th minute when David Martínez unleashed a powerful left-footed strike from outside the box that deflected off goalkeeper Michael Collodi before finding the net. It was Martínez’s second goal of the season.
Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris was crucial for LAFC, making five saves to secure his third consecutive clean sheet and the 27th shutout in 68 starts for the club. His most important intervention came deep in stoppage time when he produced a diving save to deny Petar Musa.
Despite the defeat, Collodi kept Dallas in the match with several impressive stops, including denying LAFC star Denis Bouanga on multiple occasions.
The win improves LAFC’s record to 3–0–0 (9 points) with a 6–0 goal difference, while Dallas fall to 1–1–1 (4 points). Historically, Dallas have struggled away to LAFC, remaining winless in eight visits (0-7-1).
