Qatar Equestrian Tour-Longines Hathab: Ali dominates in dressage event

DOHA (Qatar): Qatari rider Ali Mohammed Al Marri on Saturday won the Dressage Level 1 and 2 competitions of the 11th and last round of the 4th Qatar Equestrian Tour – Longines Hathab at the Longines Indoor Arena at Al Shaqab.

The tournament is supported by the Social & Sport Fund (Daam).

Al Marri rode CASAL DES FORETS to glory in Level 1 and finished with 65.833 points and collected a cash prize of QR 5,600 finishing ahead of Maryam Ahmed Alsemaitt who tallied 62.564 points with RYTHM in the saddle.

Maryam Ahmad Al Boinin came third on SILVAN with 62.372 points.

The fourth to seventh positions were claimed by Jassim Al Jaham Al Kuwari, Maha Matar Al Kuwari, Saoud Ahmed Al Boinin and Michelle Schaffers.

In Level 2, Ali with NAVIGATER in the saddle tallied 73.365 points and collected a cheque of QR 3,750 while Asmaa Yasser Mohammed atop LESLIE ANN 2 finished second with 69.904 points while Jassim Mohammed Al Fahd Al Kuwari riding on GUINESS took the third place with 69.135 points.

The positions from fourth to ninth went to Joanna Hockly, Khalid Sanad Al Nuaimi, Michelle Grimes, Marie Albane Charlotte Bensussan, Jassim Al Jaham Al Kuwari and Maryam Ahmad Al Boinin.

Future Riders show jumping

Mohammed Yousef Al Jaber and Jassim Adel Al Saegh bagged glory in the Future Riders show jumping competition.

Al Jaber with GODETTE in the saddle walked away with the top place in the Table A maximum height of 90cm while Al Saegh riding on JOLY’S ARNO took first place in the maximum height of 80cm.

Riders Under 14 riders and beginners competed in the two events watched by their parents, friends and other fans.

In the 90cm category, SYDNEY Saif Mohammed AL NAIMI on Sydney came second followed by Fahad Abdulkarim Abed on FANTASTIQUE.
