DOHA: The world’s premier Arabian horse championship series, the Global Champions Arabians Tour, makes its return to Doha as part of its highly anticipated second season. With a prize fund exceeding €4,000,000, the 2025 edition of the Tour promises an unforgettable celebration of equestrian excellence, heritage, and cultural unity.

Doha, the birthplace of the Tour, will once again host this prestigious event, reaffirming its status as a global hub for Arabian horse culture. Set against the vibrant skyline and glistening coastline, the Tour showcases the elegance, power, and heritage of Arabian horses to a global audience.

Taking place from February 05-08, 2025, at the Katara Cultural Village, the event will feature some of the world’s best Arabian horses competing for championship titles and crucial points in the overall Tour rankings. With five judging criteria—type, head and neck, body, legs, and movement—each evaluated by an esteemed panel of international judges, this event is set to offer an unparalleled display of beauty.

“The second season of the Global Champions Arabians Tour is a testament to the dedication of breeders, owners, and competitors who strive for excellence,” commented Bader Al Darwish, CEO of GCAT.

“We are proud to return to Doha, where this extraordinary journey began, and we look forward to both another season in the Middle East and Europe, and our debut in the Americas.”

In addition to Global Partners Qatar Airways, Doha Bank, Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi, and UDC, and Official Broadcast Partner Alkass, the Doha stage welcomes Official Telecom Partner Ooredoo, Official Insurance Partner, Qatar Insurance Company (QIC), Official Automotive Partner Nasser bin Khaled (NBK), and Official Partner, Ali Bin Ali.

The 2025 season has already expanded its footprint across Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas, solidifying GCAT as the world’s most prestigious Arabian horse championship.

The Doha stage marks the second of eight stages in this year’s Europe and Middle East series, where leading horses and handlers will vie for not only championship titles but also a share of the Tour’s record-breaking prize fund.

The GCAT was conceived to promote the cultural and historical significance of Arabian horses, blending tradition with modernity. This year, spectators will have the chance to experience a dedicated Cultural Village on-site, offering insights into Qatari heritage through artisanal crafts, traditional performances, and interactive exhibits.

The show runs from the 5th to the 8 February, and admission to the show is free for spectators, with hospitality packages available on request.
