Lausanne, Switzerland: The International Hockey Federation (FIH) has confirmed the match schedules for the FIH Hockey World Cup 2026 Qualifiers, which will take place across three host nations: Chile, Egypt and India. These tournaments mark the final qualification stage for the FIH Hockey World Cup 2026, set to be staged in Belgium and the Netherlands from 15 to 30 August 2026.
The first qualifier will be held in Santiago, Chile, from 28 February to 8 March 2026, featuring both men’s and women’s competitions. The women’s tournament will include Australia, Japan, Ireland, Chile, France, Canada, Malaysia and Switzerland, while the men’s event will see France, Ireland, Korea, Wales, Scotland, Canada, Poland and hosts Chile competing for qualification.
The women’s qualifier in Hyderabad, India, will run from 8 to 14 March 2026, with England, India, Scotland, Korea, Italy, Uruguay, Wales and Austria in action.
Meanwhile, Ismailia, Egypt, will host the men’s qualifier from 1 to 7 March 2026, featuring England, Malaysia, Pakistan, Egypt, Japan, Austria, China and the USA.
Across the qualifiers, seven teams per gender will secure World Cup berths. The top three finishers in each tournament will qualify automatically, while the highest-ranked fourth-placed team across the events will claim the final qualification spot.
These qualifiers are expected to be among the major highlights of the FIH calendar in 2026.
