F4 Saudi Arabia Championship wraps up inaugural year in Qatar

LUSAIL (Qatar): F4 Saudi Arabia Championship successfully concluded with emerging talent taking center stage at Lusail International Circuit. Marking the first year of the championship taking place in Qatar, the event empowered youth in motorsports and provided them with an international platform which enabled them to showcase their talent.

The championship comprised multiple qualifying sessions and four races.

In Race 1, Federico Al Rifai from the UAE secured P1 with a total time of 20 minutes 05.719 seconds. Oscar Wurz from Austria followed in P2 with 20 minutes 06.487 seconds, and Andrej Petrovic from Serbia finished in P3 with 20 minutes 07.711seconds. A notable highlight was Jabor H Al Thani’s performance in Race 1 where the Qatari driver with commendable performance recorded maximum classified speed in Race 1 at 232.3 km/h.

Faisal Alkabbani from Saudi Arabia claimed the top spot in Race 2 with a total time of 33 minutes 51.799 seconds at P1. Amna Alqubaisi from the UAE took P2 with 33 minutes 52.195 seconds, and Oscar Wurz secured P3 with 33 minutes 52.618 seconds.

Race 3 saw Omar Alwaleed Aldereyaane from Saudi Arabia leading with a total time of 20 minutes 16.599 seconds at P1. Faisal Alkabbani followed in P2 with 20 minutes 17.932 seconds, and Andrej Petrovic secured P3 with 20 minutes 22.975 seconds.

In the final race, Federico Al Rifai secured P1 with a time of 20 minutes 00.143 seconds. Hamda Alqubaisi from the UAE took P2 with 20 minutes 02.194 seconds, and Aurelia Nobels from Belgium finished in P3 with 20 minutes 03.438 seconds.

As the F4 Saudi Arabia Championship wraps, it leaves behind a legacy of fostering young talent and providing them with invaluable opportunities on the international stage. Passionate Qatari drivers Tamim Hassiba, Taha Hassiba, Khalid Al-Muftah, and Bader Al Sulaiti from Qatar Motorsport Academy gave remarkable performances and tested their skills in F4 cars.

Lusail International Circuit proudly played the role of providing opportunities for passionate local drivers who are on track to become key performers in the region.
