DOHA, Jan 2 : The Organising Committee of the Doha Equestrian Tour 2026 on Thursday unveiled details of HH the Father Amir’s Equestrian Prize, with the opening round set to begin on Friday at the Longines Arena at Al Shaqab.

The first round will run for three days and is part of a championship that has attracted more than 240 riders from 32 countries, competing for total prize money of over 3.3 million euros.
A total of 93 Qatari riders, both men and women, will take part in the competition, alongside more than 500 horses from around the world, underlining the scale and international appeal of the event.
Speaking at the press conference at Al Shaqab, organisers said the championship will comprise four international rounds, spanning one-star to five-star categories, as well as dedicated events for young riders and juniors. They said the structure reflects the tour’s high technical standards and its growing importance on the global equestrian calendar.

Following the opening round, which runs until Jan. 4, the second round is scheduled for Jan. 8–10, with the third round to be held from Jan. 22–24.
