Doha – October 31, 2025:
The Qatar Basketball Association (QBA) will launch the 2025-2026 edition of the Budding Stars Festival on Saturday, November 1, at 10:30 a.m. inside the QBA Hall. The event will feature broad participation from local clubs eager to identify and nurture promising young talent at the earliest age levels.
Regarded as a cornerstone annual initiative, the festival plays a pivotal role in the QBA’s long-term strategy to develop the sport and cultivate a robust pipeline of youth players capable of representing Qatar’s national teams in the future.
This season’s lineup includes age-group squads from Al Rayyan, Al Sadd, Al Gharafa, Al Arabi, Al Ahli, Al Wakrah, Al Shamal, Al Khor, and Qatar Club. Specialized youth coaches will oversee activities under the guidance of the QBA Technical Committee, creating an environment that blends enjoyment with structured skill enhancement and competitive play.
The QBA places special emphasis on the festival as an ideal platform to implement updated technical programs focused on foundational skills, tactical intelligence, and on-court discipline. These efforts align with broader initiatives to prepare a new generation poised to sustain and extend Qatar’s regional and continental basketball achievements.
