DOHA: Britain’s Scott Brash capped a dominant Grand Prix Day by completing a double victory as Tour 2 of the Doha Equestrian Tour (DET) 2026 concluded at the Longines Arena at Al Shaqab on Saturday.
Brash partnered Hello Jefferson to victory in the CSI5* 1.60m Grand Prix, producing a clear jump-off round in 42.66 seconds to top the podium. France’s Megane Moissonnier finished second with Crooner Tame in 42.78, while Eve Jobs of the United States claimed third on Canto Bruno.
Earlier in the day, Brash had also won the CSI3* 1.50m Grand Prix with Hello Chadora Lady, sealing a notable Grand Prix double on the final day of competition.
Tour 2 of H.H. The Father Amir’s Prix ran from Jan. 8–10 and attracted more than 240 riders across CSI5, CSI3, CSI1* and national categories, with overall prize money for the series exceeding 3.3 million euros.
Saturday’s programme featured a full schedule across three arenas, culminating in three Grand Prix finals with jump-offs at CSI1, CSI3 and CSI5* level. Riders were required to deliver a clear first round to qualify for the jump-off, before competing against the clock for podium places.
Britain’s Harry Charles added to the international success by winning the CSI5* 1.50m Special Two-Phase with Bandit, while Italy’s Emanuele Gaudiano claimed the CSI3* 1.40m Accumulator aboard Diarouge Blue PS. France’s Jean Francois Rondoux secured the CSI3* 1.30m Faults and Time class with Inter-Larus.

Qatari riders enjoyed a strong home showing, led by Hussain Said A M Haidan, who won the CSI1* 1.30m Grand Prix with D Saucedo, heading an all-Qatari top four. Qatar also collected victories in the CSI1* 1.15m Accumulator through Ali Omar A H Al Ansari and the CSIY-B/CSIY 1.30m Jump-Off qualifier through Ibrahim Yousuf Al Mahmoud.
In the provisional series standings after Tour 2, Brash moved into the overall lead in the CSI4/5 rankings, while Haidan extended his advantage at the top of the CSI1* table.
The Doha Equestrian Tour continues with Tour 3 of H.H. The Father Amir’s Prix from Jan. 22–24 at Al Shaqab.
