DOHA: West Ham United’s record Premier League scorer Michail Antonio has signed for Qatari side Al-Sailiya on a free transfer, the club announced on Monday, marking his first move since undergoing surgery following a serious car accident.
Al-Sailiya confirmed the arrival of the 35-year-old Jamaica international in a post on X, sharing a photograph of Antonio in the club’s shirt along with a video compilation of his goals and training highlights.
Antonio, who became West Ham’s leading scorer in the Premier League during a nine-year spell at the London club, left as a free agent after his contract expired. Details of his deal with Al-Sailiya, including the length and financial terms, were not disclosed.
The forward’s move comes after a challenging period that included surgery following a car accident.
