DOHA: Rider Mohammed Nayef Saleh Al-Marri claimed victory at the National Day Endurance Cup on Sunday, winning the 120-kilometre race organized by the Qatar Endurance Racing Club at the Sealine Marathon Village.
Al-Marri rode “Zambala PG,” owned and trained by Abdullah Shaker Madhkhar Ayed Al-Shammari, to secure first place in a field that featured a large turnout of elite riders and horses.
Second place went to Nasser Hamad Al-Qahtani aboard “Aleco Des Clabas,” owned by Yves Sion Stud and trained by Faleh Salem Al-Hajri while Saeed bin Ali Ahmed Al-Balushi finished third on “Kasmak Morning Star,” owned by Sheikh Mohammed Nawaf bin Nasser Al Thani and trained by Ahmed Salem Ahmed Al-Balushi.
Tamim Jaber Abdullah Ali Al-Marri placed fourth riding “Zako,” owned and trained by Salem Ali Jahman Al-Ghafrani Al-Marri, followed by Abdullah Sami Abdullah Awad Al-Mahri in fifth place on “Fasel de Largat AA,” which he also owns and trains.
His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Nawaf Al Thani, President of the Qatar Endurance Racing Club, presented the awards to the winners.
