DOHA (Qatar): The Qatar Stars League play-off match between 11th-placed team in the just-concluded Qatar Stars League Al Khor against Second Division runners-up Al Markhiya will be held on Friday.
The match, which will determine the promoted side in next season’s top flight, will be held at the Al Janoub Stadium at 18:30hrs.
The match regulations stipulate that in the event of a tie, extra time of 30 minutes (15 minutes in each half) will be played. If that also ends in a draw, penalty shoot-out will decide the winners.
Meanwhile, as part of preparations and arrangements being made ahead of the launch of 2020-21 season, the QSL held a co-ordination meeting with club coaches at its headquarters at Al Bidda Tower in the presence of Ahmed Khellil Abbassi, Executive Director of Competitions and Football Development at the QSL, Neji Jouini, Executive Director of the Referees Department of Qatar Football Association and members Abdullah Al Balooshi and Khaled Saleh.
