JEDDAH : Qatar’s Al Gharafa will visit Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ittihad on Tuesday in the seventh round of the AFC Champions League West Zone, with the match set to be played at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah.
Al Gharafa, known as “The Cheetahs”, sit ninth in the standings with six points and need a positive result to keep their hopes of reaching the round of 16 alive.
The task will be a demanding one for the Qatari side, who head into the away fixture at a difficult moment after surrendering top spot in the Doha Bank Stars League following a surprise 1-0 defeat to Al Sailiya in the 15th round last Thursday.
Al-Ittihad, meanwhile, are sixth on nine points and will be aiming for victory to secure qualification for the knockout stage of the continental competition.
