DOHA : Umm Salal and Al-Duhail will both be aiming to return to winning form when they meet at Al Khor Stadium in the opening match of the 15th round of the Doha Bank Stars League.
Al-Duhail were held to a draw by Al-Rayyan in the previous round, leaving them with 20 points and sixth place in the standings. The former champions are in need of maximum points in the coming rounds to revive their title challenge.
Umm Salal, meanwhile, remain rooted to the bottom of the table on nine points after a difficult run of results. The club recently parted ways with French coach Patrice Carteron and appointed Spaniard Ruben Albis, but the change failed to halt their slide as they suffered a third straight defeat, losing 4-2 to Al Arabi in their last outing.
