Doha: Al-Bidda secured a 1-0 victory over Lusail on Wednesday in the 10th round of the group stage of the QSL Cup for the 2025–26 season.
Cristian Dal Bello scored the only goal of the match in the 30th minute, giving Al-Bidda a first-half lead that proved decisive as both sides failed to find the net after the break despite several attempts.
The match was played at Hamad Bin Khalifa Stadium.
With the result, Al-Bidda moved up to 15 points to sit 10th in the standings, while Lusail remained on seven points in 17th place.
The teams return to domestic cup action during the league break this week, which coincides with Qatari clubs’ Super Cup fixtures against Emirati opposition.
The match was officiated by referee Mohammed Nasser, assisted by Falah Al-Shahrani and Mohammed Al-Amoudi, with Mohsen Al-Harbi serving as fourth official.
The QSL Cup is being held under a revised format featuring a single group of 20 teams from the Stars League and the Second Division, followed by playoff matches and knockout rounds culminating in the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final.
