DOHA (Qatar): The first round of the Qatar National Sprint 2021 Championship was held at the Lusail Circuit on Saturday.
The event, which consists of six rounds, is being organised by the Qatar Motor & Motorcycle Federation (QMMF).
Abdullah Al Khelaifi, who had a timing of 54.077 in three attempts, finished ahead of Mansour Chebli and A. Aziz Aljabri in Class 01 category.
In the Class 02, Ali Emadadhi topped the charts followed by Ibrahim Al Mannai and Nadim Ziade in the second and third position.
Abdulla Al Abbasi and Mohammed Al Khayarin were the other podium winners in the Class 03 action.
In the Class P1, Henry Kahy outsmarted the other drivers in the field to take the top honours followed by Saad Al Dosari and Mansour Chebli The Class P2, saw a tough challenge for the top place between Ali Emadadhi and Mohammed Emadadhi, with Ali topping the score sheets ahead of Mohammed. Dean Ball finished third.
The Class P3, saw Francesco Fornaciari taking the top podium place with Mahmoud Al Mahmoud, and Hosam Al Qatami finishing in the second and third place.
QMMF Executive Director Amro Al Hamad along with other officials and guests distributed the prizes for the podium winners of the Round One event.
