NEW DELHI : India fast bowler Prasidh Krishna has been ruled out of the one-day international series against New Zealand because of a hamstring injury, the country’s cricket board said on Friday.
The 30-year-old right-arm seamer requires additional time to build up the workload needed to return to competitive action.
Krishna could remain in contention for the subsequent two-test series in New Zealand, with the board saying he would join the India A squad subject to passing a fitness assessment.
Fast bowler Mohammed Siraj and all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy will also link up with the India A squad ahead of the test matches.
Reddy will additionally be part of India’s squad for the first ODI against New Zealand on November 1.
India have already won the five-match Twenty20 international series, securing the title with three consecutive victories.
