CHRISTCHURCH : India batter Ishan Kishan has been ruled out of the second Twenty20 international against New Zealand with a low-grade strain in his right adductor, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said on Friday.
The 28-year-old sustained the injury during India’s four-wicket victory in the opening match of the five-game series on Thursday.
The BCCI said its medical team was monitoring Kishan’s recovery.
India lead the series 1-0 after completing a record successful T20 run chase in the opener, reaching 230-6 in 19.4 overs after New Zealand posted 225-4.
The second T20 will be played in Christchurch on Saturday.
