BENGALURU, India : India and West Indies drew their five-match Twenty20 series 2-2 after rain washed out the deciding game in Bengaluru on Saturday.
Persistent showers delayed the start and reduced the match to nine overs per side. West Indies won the toss and elected to field.
India lost opener Abhishek Sharma for six to Keemo Paul, but Ishan Kishan struck 30 from 10 balls to give the hosts a brisk start.
India reached 118-5 in 7.4 overs before rain returned and forced the players off. With conditions failing to improve, officials abandoned the match, leaving the series honours shared.
The game was the first international fixture at Chinnaswamy Stadium in two years.
Veteran seamer Bhuvneshwar Kumar, recalled to India’s T20 squad for the first time since November 2022, was unable to mark his return with the ball.
