In the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Challenge League B, Italy have emerged as one of the standout teams of the competition. Having won 11 of their 14 matches, they have consistently outperformed rivals such as Tanzania, Hong Kong and Bahrain.

Scotland – This is arguably their biggest win yet. Italy defeated Scotland by 12 runs during the European Qualifier for the 2026 T20 World Cup, a result that played a huge role in securing their maiden T20 World Cup berth. Scotland are a Full Member-level associate side and regular participants at ICC global events.
Netherlands (indirect achievement) – While Italy eventually lost to the Dutch, merely finding themselves in a position where qualification was being decided between Italy, Netherlands and Scotland showed how far they had come.

Nepal – At the 2026 T20 World Cup, Italy recorded their first-ever World Cup victory, crushing Nepal by 10 wickets. Nepal are one of the strongest and most passionately supported Associate nations in world cricket.

Tanzania – Italy recently defeated Tanzania by 8 wickets in a crucial Challenge League encounter that helped them top the standings and move closer to the next stage of ODI World Cup qualification.
Bahrain and Singapore – Perhaps not giant names, but both are competitive Associate sides and Italy have consistently gotten the better of them during the Challenge League cycle.
