Lamine Yamal became Barcelona’s youngest-ever captain at 19 years and 58 days during the Spanish champions’ 5-1 victory over Feyenoord in the Champions League on Wednesday.
First-choice captain Raphinha handed the armband to the Spain forward after being substituted in the 71st minute.
Yamal’s appointment broke the previous record held by Bojan Krkic, who captained Barcelona in a 2010 Copa del Rey match at the age of 20.
