DOHA — Al-Bidaa beat Al-Shamal 3-0 at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium at Al Sadd Club to close the third round of the JETOUR Football League.
The victory lifted Al-Bidaa to seven points, while Al-Shamal suffered their second defeat of the campaign and remained on one point.
Al-Bidaa took the lead in the 18th minute when Masilo converted a cross into the net to give his side an early advantage.
Al-Shamal were reduced to 10 players just before halftime after Adel Badr was shown a red card in the second minute of stoppage time for a tackle on Mahmoud Hussein.
Al-Bidaa capitalised on their numerical advantage five minutes later when Danilo headed a cross past Al-Shamal goalkeeper Future to make it 2-0.
The visitors extended their lead in the 63rd minute after being awarded a penalty, which Christian converted to put the result beyond doubt.
Al-Shamal had an opportunity to reduce the deficit in stoppage time after being awarded a penalty, but Mohamed Reda’s effort was saved by the Al-Bidaa goalkeeper.
The save ensured Al-Bidaa completed the match with a clean sheet and secured all three points.
