DOHA : The Qatar Stars League Foundation is preparing for the start of the QSL Cup for the 2026-27 season, with the competition scheduled to begin on Sept. 20.
The foundation held the tournament’s technical meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 8, attended by Ahmed Abdullah Al-Sayed, Head of Football Operations at the Qatar Stars League Foundation, Hassan Al-Thawadi, representing the refereeing department of the Qatar Football Association, and representatives of the participating clubs.
The meeting covered key aspects of the tournament, including the competition format, match procedures and the relevant regulations.
Organisational procedures and guidelines for match-day operations were also reviewed, with discussions focusing on coordination among the relevant parties to ensure the smooth running of matches and compliance with instructions and deadlines.
The meeting also confirmed the approved home and away kits for each team in accordance with the applicable regulations.
The representative of the Qatar Football Association’s refereeing department stressed the importance of full cooperation and coordination with match officials and adherence to the relevant instructions throughout the competition.
The technical meeting forms part of the Qatar Stars League Foundation’s preparations to ensure all participating clubs and officials are aligned with the tournament’s organisational and technical requirements ahead of the new season.
