PARIS : Monaco came from behind to beat visiting Paris St Germain 2-1 on Friday, moving to the top of Ligue 1 while leaving the defending champions without a win from their opening three games.
Marquinhos put PSG ahead in the 31st minute, but Nazinho and Stanis Idumbo struck after halftime to give Monaco a third straight victory and nine points from three matches.
PSG announced before kickoff that coach Luis Enrique had extended his contract until 2030, while Lucas Beraldo, Senny Mayulu, Joao Neves, Willian Pacho and Fabian Ruiz also agreed new deals.
The champions took the lead when Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s cross into the six-yard box was bundled home by Marquinhos. A VAR review checked whether the Brazilian had used his arm before confirming the goal.
It was Marquinhos’ second goal in as many matches after he also scored in PSG’s 2-2 draw with Lille.
Monaco levelled in the 58th minute when Nazinho headed in from close range after Jordan Teze’s cross, with the equaliser coming from Monaco’s first effort on target.
The hosts completed the comeback 14 minutes later. Idumbo created space on the left side of the box before firing a powerful shot into the net from a tight angle.
Monaco are the only Ligue 1 side with a perfect record after three rounds, while PSG will look to end their winless run in their next league fixture.
