DOHA : The Qatar Stars League (QSL) held a technical meeting on Wednesday ahead of the Qatar Cup 2026 semi-finals, reviewing organizational and technical arrangements for the matches.
The meeting covered tournament regulations and procedures, matchday operations and the importance of teams arriving at the stadium on time to ensure preparations run smoothly.
The official home and away kits for all four semi-finalists were also approved. A representative of the QSL Referees Department stressed the need for teams to cooperate fully with match officials and respect refereeing decisions.
The semi-finals will be played on Tuesday, Sept. 1, with Al Sadd facing Al Gharafa at Khalifa International Stadium before Al Shamal take on Al Rayyan at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.
The final is scheduled for Dec. 11 at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.
Under the tournament regulations, matches that remain level after 90 minutes will go directly to a penalty shootout to determine the winner
QSL Director of Competitions Ahmed Salman Al Adsani stressed the importance of coordination and cooperation among all parties involved to ensure the matches are staged to a high standard.
The meeting brought together representatives of the participating clubs and relevant tournament officials as preparations continue for the knockout stage of the competition.
