Doha : Qatar’s U23 women’s 3×3 basketball team continues its participation in the FIBA 3×3 Youth Nations League 2026 – Asia West/Pacific, held in Singapore from August 20 to 26. The team has completed three stages of the competition and is preparing to continue its journey through the remaining three stages.
The Qatari squad features Dima Khalid, Sara Zayed, Dana Al‑Sayed, and Fatima Jamal, with the participation aimed at gaining valuable international experience and competing against strong teams in the 3×3 format.
Qatar began its campaign in Stop 1 on August 20, facing Australia in Group B and losing 2–21, before meeting Turkmenistan in the second match, which ended in a 21–6 victory for Turkmenistan.
In Stop 2 on August 21, Qatar competed in Group A, falling to Saudi Arabia 5–21 and then to Bahrain 4–21, concluding the stage without advancing to the finals.
During Stop 3 on August 22, Qatar met Australia again in Group B, losing 3–21, before facing Bahrain in the second match, which ended in a 21–6 win for Bahrain.
Looking ahead, Qatar will compete in Stop 4 on Monday, August 24, meeting Australia at 8:30 a.m. Doha time, followed by Turkmenistan at 10:20 a.m. in Group B.
The campaign continues on August 25 in Stop 5, with matches against Saudi Arabia (8:30 a.m.) and Bahrain (10:20 a.m.) in Group A.
The team will conclude its series on August 26 in Stop 6, facing Australia at 8:30 a.m. before wrapping up against Bahrain at 10:20 a.m.
