LJUBLJANA : Qatar’s under-20 football team recorded a 7-0 victory over Austrian side Kapfenberger in a friendly on Friday as part of their training camp in Slovenia.
The camp is part of Qatar’s preparations for the AFC U-20 Asian Cup qualifiers, which will take place from Aug. 25 to Sept. 6.
Qatar have been drawn in Group E alongside Saudi Arabia, Oman and Hong Kong, China, with Doha set to host all of the group’s matches.
The qualifiers will determine the teams that join hosts China at the 2027 AFC U-20 Asian Cup finals.
The 32 participating teams have been divided into eight groups, with the eight group winners and seven best runners-up advancing to the final tournament.
