Kolkata : Mohammedan Sporting Club is pleased to announce Ghazal Uz Zafar as the new President of the Club, following the Executive Committee meeting held on 6 August 2026 at the Mohammedan Sporting Club Tent, Kolkata.
The Executive Committee has resolved to relieve Humayun Kabir of his responsibilities as President of Mohammedan Sporting Club, with the decision taking effect from 6 August 2026.
The Executive Committee reviewed the Club’s prevailing financial position and discussed the immediate measures required to ensure financial and administrative continuity.
The meeting also took note of the outstanding financial commitments of the Club and the urgent need to address its liabilities towards players, coaching staff, employees, statutory authorities, vendors and other creditors.
The Committee placed on record its appreciation for the substantial financial assistance extended by Ghazal Uz Zafar during the present financial crisis, which has enabled the Club to continue its day-to-day operations and meet several urgent financial commitments.
With Ghazal Uz Zafar appointment as President of Mohammedan Sporting Club, Ghazal Uz Zafar will lead the Club through this important phase, with a focus on strengthening its financial foundation, ensuring administrative continuity and working towards the long-term development and stability of the club.
