DOHA: Al Sadd Sports Club announced on Saturday the departure of head coach Roberto Mancini after eight months in charge of the first team. Mancini had taken over from Felix Sanchez.
The club posted a video interview with the Italian coach on its official X platform, in which he announced the end of his tenure with the team. He also expressed his gratitude and support to all the first-team players, wishing them success in their future careers.
The 61-year-old Mancini led Al Sadd to the Qatar Stars League title during the 2025-2026 season and also guided the team to the Amir Cup final, which they lost 1-4 to Al Gharafa at Khalifa International Stadium. (QNA)
