Strasbourg, France : Emma Navarro claimed her first claycourt title on Saturday with a 6-0 5-7 6-2 victory over Canada’s Victoria Mboko in the final of the Internationaux de Strasbourg in France.
Navarro captured the third WTA title of her career and her first since winning the Merida Open in Mexico in February 2025.
The American won 34 of 46 points on her first serve and saved seven of 10 break points in the two-hour, 20-minute contest.
Mboko fired four aces but struggled with six double faults, including one on game point in the deciding set. The Canadian also slipped during a crucial point late in the match.
Mboko will quickly turn her attention to the French Open, where she faces Czech player Nikola Bartunkova in the first round on Sunday.
At the Grand Prix SAR La Princesse Lalla Meryem in Rabat, sixth seed Petra Marcinko won her maiden WTA title after Ukraine’s Anhelina Kalinina retired in the second set of the final.
Marcinko took the opening set 6-2 before Kalinina received treatment for blisters on her right foot. The Croatian then won the first three games of the second set before Kalinina retired after 46 minutes.
Kalinina had also been seeking her first WTA Tour title.
