DOHA : Host nation Qatar extended their lead at the fourth GCC Games Doha 2026 on Tuesday, while Kuwait climbed to fourth place in the overall medal standings.
Qatar increased their tally to 119 medals, including 43 gold, 44 silver and 32 bronze medals, after securing nine more medals on Tuesday across shooting, snooker and volleyball events.
The hosts collected three gold medals and six silver medals during the day’s competitions.
Saudi Arabia remained second in the standings with 65 medals, including 26 gold, 20 silver and 19 bronze.
Bahrain stayed third with 61 medals overall, made up of 24 gold, 22 silver and 15 bronze medals.
Kuwait moved into fourth place with 51 medals, including 11 gold, 16 silver and 24 bronze.
Oman slipped to fifth despite increasing their total to 29 medals, including 10 gold, four silver and 15 bronze medals.
The United Arab Emirates remained sixth with 46 medals, made up of eight gold, 13 silver and 25 bronze medals.
