MUMBAI: With the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season nearing its conclusion, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has shifted its focus to preparations for the upcoming international calendar.
India are set to resume international cricket with a one-off Test match against Afghanistan, and the squad for the fixture is expected to be announced before the IPL season ends.
According to reports, the BCCI has scheduled a key selection meeting in the coming days, where major decisions regarding star pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami could be taken as part of India’s plans for the Test assignment.
