LONDON : Andy Murray will join fellow Briton Jack Draper during the upcoming grasscourt season, Draper announced on Tuesday after ending his coaching partnership with Jamie Delgado.
Murray, a two-time Wimbledon Championships winner who retired in 2024, most recently worked with Novak Djokovic in a coaching arrangement that ended in May 2025.
Draper has endured an injury-hit season and is set to miss the French Open because of ongoing knee problems.
“I am very grateful for everything Jamie Delgado has done for me over these past six months,” Draper said in a statement to British media.
“He is a world-class coach and a great man.”
The 24-year-old said he would continue to work with the Lawn Tennis Association support staff, with Murray joining the setup during the grasscourt swing.
“In the interim, I will continue to be supported by the excellent team at the LTA, with the addition of Andy Murray, who will be supporting me throughout the grasscourt season,” Draper added.
Draper has yet to progress beyond the second round at Wimbledon, and only one of his three ATP titles has come on grass.
He did not clarify Murray’s exact role, although British media reports suggested the former world number one would become part of the coaching team.
