BARCELONA  : FC Barcelona sealed their 29th LaLiga title with a commanding 2-0 victory over rivals Real Madrid C.F. in El Clasico at a packed Camp Nou on Sunday.

The win moved Barcelona onto 91 points, 14 ahead of second-placed Real Madrid with only three matches remaining, confirming the title for Hansi Flick’s side after a dominant domestic campaign in which they lost only four league games.

Barcelona took control early through Marcus Rashford, who curled a free kick into the top-left corner in the ninth minute after Antonio Rudiger fouled Ferran Torres just outside the penalty area.

Nine minutes later, Torres doubled the lead after a flowing move involving Fermin Lopez and Dani Olmo, with Olmo’s clever backheel setting up the striker to fire into the top corner.

The title marked back-to-back LaLiga triumphs for Flick, who also guided Barcelona to a league and Copa del Rey double in his debut season.

Both teams entered the match weakened by injuries and suspensions. Barcelona were without Lamine Yamal, Raphinha and Jules Kounde from the starting lineup.

Real Madrid’s absentees included Eder Militao, Dani Carvajal, Ferland Mendy, Arda Guler and Rodrygo, while Kylian Mbappe missed the trip because of a leg muscle injury.

Federico Valverde was also unavailable following a reported dressing-room altercation with teammate Aurelien Tchouameni earlier in the week.

Real threatened sporadically through Vinicius Junior and academy forward Gonzalo, but Barcelona consistently looked more dangerous. Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois produced several key saves to keep the scoreline respectable, while Barcelona keeper Joan Garcia denied Vinicius in a second-half one-on-one.

Jude Bellingham had a goal ruled out for offside in the 62nd minute as Real pushed for a response, but Barcelona comfortably saw out the match before beginning title celebrations with their supporters.

“This title is even more special because we won it at home against Real Madrid,” Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong told Movistar Plus.

“We’ve clearly been the best team in Spain.”
