DOHA: The 13th round of the ninth edition of the Longines Hathab Qatar Equestrian Tour continued on Thursday at the Qatar Equestrian Federation arena, with strong competition in jumping and dressage events.
Organized by the Qatar Equestrian Federation in partnership with Al Shaqab, the tour consists of 14 rounds and is regarded as one of Qatar’s leading local equestrian championships.
In the Amateur 100cm class, Nasser Hamad Al Thani claimed first place aboard Equinox with a time of 23.55 seconds. Al Qaqa’a bin Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani finished second on Bon Soueila in 24.05 seconds, while Moza Hamza Al Kuwari took third on Hanin with 26.61 seconds.
The Silver 130cm class produced a closely contested finish, with Madhi Al-Khamis securing victory on Bevor in 26.64 seconds. Hussain Saeed Haidan placed second on Saucedo with 26.92 seconds, while Bader Al-Fard finished third aboard Murdock in 27.36 seconds.
Dressage competitions also began during the opening day of the event. Najla Abdullah Al-Khalifi won one introductory category on Fidalgo with 66.667 points, while Sheikha Shaikha Ahmed Al Thani topped another introductory class on Fenwell with 68.813 points. Hemyan Al-Kuwari also secured first place in an introductory event on Champ N Red with 67.925 points.
