Burnley, Britain : Erling Haaland said results are all that count after his goal secured a 1-0 Premier League win for Manchester City at Burnley on Wednesday, sending the champions top of the table on goals scored.
City dominated the match with 28 shots, including nine on target, but had to rely on Haaland’s strike to claim all three points.
“We had a lot of chances but I’m happy, we won and that’s the most important thing,” Haaland told Sky Sports.
“It’s all about winning, no matter how. We try to play our football and just try to win — that’s the mindset. Don’t think about goals, think about winning.”
City and Arsenal are level on 70 points from 33 matches with an identical goal difference of +37, but Pep Guardiola’s side lead the standings having scored more goals.
City next face Southampton in the FA Cup semi-finals on Saturday before returning to league action against Everton on May 4.
