KARACHI: A total of 29 matches have been played in the HBL Pakistan Super League 11 with Peshawar Zalmi becoming the first team to seal the playoffs ticket and Rawalpindiz are out of the race. The action is set to be split between Karachi and Lahore from 21 to 28 April.
Unbeaten Peshawar Zalmi are still placed top of the table with 15 points from eight matches. They are the only other team with fourth-placed Quetta Gladiators to have played eight matches each. All other teams have played seven each.
Multan Sultans have now accumulated 10 points and are placed second, followed by the third-placed Islamabad United, who have nine points. In descending order, Quetta, Hyderabad Kingsmen, Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings are tied on six points each. Eighth-placed Rawalpindiz are yet to win their first game.
Peshawar Zalmi’s trio of Kusal Mendis, Babar Azam and Sufyan Moqim continue to rule the bowling and batting charts after 29 matches. Mendis (413) and Babar (401) also became the first batters to breach the 400-run mark in the tournament.
