LONDON, – Chelsea midfielder Moisés Caicedo has signed a contract extension that will keep him at the Premier League club until 2033, the club said on Friday.
The Ecuador international originally joined Chelsea from Brighton & Hove Albion in 2023 for a then British-record fee of £115 million.
“I believe in this team, this club and I know we’re going in the right direction,” Caicedo said in a statement. “I want to win more trophies with Chelsea and give everything for this club and for the fans.”
After an inconsistent start under former manager Mauricio Pochettino, Caicedo’s form improved significantly following the arrival of Enzo Maresca in 2024.
Deployed in a deeper midfield role, Caicedo has become a key figure, helping Chelsea win the Conference League and Club World Cup, while also earning both the club’s Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year awards.
The 23-year-old has made more than 40 appearances in all competitions this season and has occasionally captained the side, underlining his growing importance at Stamford Bridge.
