DOHA : Al Duhail coach Djamel Belmadi said his side is ready for Wednesday’s meeting with Al Ahli in round 21 of the Qatar Stars League, as his team looks to extend its winning run.
Speaking ahead of the match, the Algerian coach said Al Duhail are aiming to maintain momentum while also preparing for their upcoming AFC Champions League quarter-final against Saudi Arabia’s Al Ahli.
“We expect a tough match, but we are determined to secure the win and take all three points,” Belmadi said.
He also welcomed the return of forward Moaz Ali, saying the player’s presence adds “vitality and effectiveness” after scoring the decisive goal in the previous match against Al Gharafa.
Al Ahli coach Younes Ali stressed the need for focus as his side seeks to improve its position in the standings.
“Our situation requires full concentration to deliver a strong performance and earn the three points,” he said.
He acknowledged the challenge posed by Al Duhail, adding that his players must show unity and determination at this stage of the season to achieve a positive result.
