San Antonio, Texas, USA : Paolo Banchero scored 31 points and Desmond Bane added 25 as the Orlando Magic held off a fourth-quarter rally before closing on a 14-2 run to beat the visiting Detroit Pistons 123-107 on Monday.

Anthony Black chipped in 14 points off the bench for Orlando, which has won four of its last five games. Wendell Carter Jr., Jalen Suggs and Tristan da Silva each scored 12 points, with Suggs also dishing a career-high 12 assists. The Magic (43-36) moved into a three-way tie for seventh place in the Eastern Conference alongside the Charlotte Hornets and Philadelphia 76ers, a half-game behind the Toronto Raptors (43-35).

Jalen Duren and Daniss Jenkins led Detroit (57-22) with 18 points apiece. The Pistons, who clinched the top seed in the East on Saturday, erased much of a 26-point third-quarter deficit and cut the gap to four late in the fourth before Orlando pulled away.

Kevin Huerter and Javonte Green added 17 points each for Detroit, which opened the fourth quarter on a 10-0 run and got within 109-105 before fading down the stretch.

Spurs 115, 76ers 102

Stephon Castle recorded his fifth career triple-double with 19 points, 13 assists and 10 rebounds to lead a balanced San Antonio attack past Philadelphia.

The Spurs played the second half without Victor Wembanyama, who exited with a left rib contusion after scoring 17 points. San Antonio (60-19) remains in contention for the top seed in the Western Conference.

Joel Embiid paced the 76ers (43-36) with 34 points and 12 rebounds.

Nuggets 137, Trail Blazers 132 (OT)

Aaron Gordon’s late shooting sparked a comeback from an 18-point deficit as Denver defeated visiting Portland in overtime.

Gordon scored 23 points, including a game-tying 3-pointer and a go-ahead jumper in the final minute of regulation. Nikola Jokic registered his 33rd triple-double of the season with 35 points, 14 rebounds and 13 assists for Denver (51-28).

Deni Avdija forced overtime with a late basket for Portland, but Gordon opened the extra period with another key shot as the Nuggets pulled away.

Knicks 108, Hawks 105

Jalen Brunson scored 17 of his 30 points in the fourth quarter, including the tiebreaking basket with 29.8 seconds remaining, to lift visiting New York past Atlanta.

Brunson accounted for 14 of the Knicks’ final 16 points and also denied CJ McCollum a potential game-tying 3-point attempt at the buzzer. OG Anunoby added 22 points while Karl-Anthony Towns had 21 points and 12 rebounds for New York (51-28).

Nickeil Alexander-Walker led the Hawks (45-34) with 36 points, including seven 3-pointers, while Jalen Johnson contributed 21 points and 11 rebounds.

Evan Mobley scored 24 points for the Cavaliers (50-29), while Dennis Schroder added 22 points and 11 assists and Sam Merrill contributed 21. Cleveland has won nine of its last 11 games.

Memphis (25-54), which has struggled with injuries, lost its fifth straight but tied the NBA record for most 3-pointers in a game with 29. Adama Bal’s 3-pointer late in the fourth quarter matched marks set by Boston (2024) and Milwaukee (2020).
