DOHA : Police SC clinched the Qatar Volleyball Cup (2025–2026) title on Sunday, defeating Al Arabi 3-1 to secure their third championship.
The trophy was presented by Qatar Olympic Committee First Vice-President Mohammed bin Yousef Al Mana, alongside Qatar Volleyball Association President Ali Ghanim Al Kuwari and Qatar Police Sports Federation Vice President Col. Ahmed bin Hamad Al-Thani. Police SC received gold medals and a prize of QAR 600,000, while Al Arabi took silver medals and QAR 400,000.
Police SC dominated the opening set 25-18 with strong attacking and solid blocking at the net. They followed up by edging the second set 25-21 despite Al Arabi’s resistance.
Al Arabi fought back in the third set, using effective blocking to limit their opponents and winning 25-21 to stay in the contest. However, Police SC regained control in the fourth set, maintaining composure and sealing the match 25-21 to lift the title.
Speaking after the final, Mohammed bin Yousef Al Mana praised both teams for their high-quality performance, congratulating Police SC on their deserved victory while commending Al Arabi’s competitive spirit.
Ali Ghanim Al Kuwari expressed satisfaction with the rising standard of volleyball in Qatar, noting that the improving technical level each season reflects the sport’s positive development. He also highlighted the unpredictability of recent competitions and anticipated strong contests ahead in the HH the Amir Volleyball Cup, which has reached the quarterfinal stage.
