LUCKNOW: In a thrilling contest in IPL 2026, Sameer Rizvi played a match-winning unbeaten half-century as Delhi Capitals defeated Lucknow Super Giants by six wickets in the fifth match on Wednesday.
Coming in at 21 for 2 in the fourth over, Rizvi smashed 70 not out off 47 balls, including five fours and four sixes, guiding DC past the target of 142 with 17 balls to spare.
Tristan Stubbs supported with 39 not out off 32 deliveries.
Earlier, pacers Lungi Ngidi and T Natarajan starred with the ball, taking three wickets each as Delhi bowled out LSG for 141 in 18.4 overs.
Abdul Samad top-scored for LSG with 36 off 25 balls, while opener Mitchell Marsh made 35 off 28 balls. Left-arm wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav chipped in with two crucial wickets, helping DC clinch a comfortable win.
