DOHA: Bazman Montazeri, assistant coach of Al-Shahaniya Club, emphasized the significance of the upcoming match against Al-Sailiya in Round 19 of the Doha Bank Stars League, describing it as a decisive moment in the season.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Montazeri highlighted that the team’s valuable victory over Al Rayyan in the previous round has boosted player confidence and provided strong motivation to continue achieving positive results.
He stressed that both the coaching staff and players hold great respect for Al-Sailiya, noting that a team’s position in the standings does not always reflect the true challenge on the pitch.
Montazeri labeled the encounter a “6-point game” due to the direct competition between the two sides, explaining that a win would be doubly beneficial.
He concluded by stating that the primary objective is to secure all three points, strengthen the team’s standing, create distance from the relegation zone, and ensure safety in the league table.
