MIAMI :Emma Raducanu has pulled out of the Miami Open as she continues to recover from illness, the Women’s Tennis Association confirmed.
The British number one, who reached the quarter-finals in Florida last year, had received a bye into the second round of the tournament.
The 23-year-old has faced ongoing struggles with form and fitness since her breakthrough triumph at the US Open in 2021, where she became a Grand Slam champion as a teenager.
Raducanu has also worked with multiple coaches in recent years but has yet to rediscover consistent success on tour.
The Miami Open main draw is set to begin on Tuesday and will run through March 29.
