DOHA: The Longines Global Champions Tour scheduled to take place from March 4 to 7 in Doha has been postponed due to current developments and the evolving situation in the region, organizers announced on Monday.
The Organising Committee of the Doha Equestrian Tour confirmed that the decision was made with the safety and well-being of all participants as the top priority. This includes horses, athletes, teams, partners, staff, and spectators.
“At this time, ensuring the safety of everyone involved remains our highest priority,” the committee said in a statement.
According to organizers, the Doha Equestrian Tour programme is expected to resume from March 11, with further updates regarding the postponed competitions and the remaining schedule to be communicated in the coming days.
The Longines Global Champions Tour is one of the premier international show jumping circuits, attracting elite riders and horses from around the world. Doha is a regular stop on the global calendar and typically draws strong participation and local interest.
