Doha :Relegation-threatened Al Ahli and Al Shahaniya meet on Friday at Al Thumama Stadium in the 17th round of the Doha Bank Stars League, with both sides desperate for points to boost their survival hopes.
Al Ahli are 10th in the standings with 15 points, while Al Shahaniya sit bottom of the 12-team table on 11 points, leaving both clubs at risk of relegation to the second division.
The hosts won the reverse fixture earlier this season, edging Al Shahaniya 2-1, and will look to complete a league double as the campaign enters its decisive phase.
